Base4NFDI is delighted to announce that the following proposals have been accepted for funding following the Consortia Assembly’s decision!

Initialisation phase: Accounting4NFDI
Ramp-up phase: IAM4NFDI

This marks a growth in NFDI’s initiative to build basic services for consortia and demonstrates a step forward in the efforts to create RDM-enabling services from across the German research landscape.

Accounting4NFDI aims to develop a federated, standards-based accounting framework that enables transparent, FAIR-compliant tracking of resource usage across NFDI. As research increasingly relies on distributed digital infrastructures (e.g., storage, compute, AAI, data and license services), understanding and documenting usage is critical for cost estimation, planning, and sustainability.

IAM4NFDI is the first basic service is thus the first basic service to reach the final ramp-up phase. The core objective of this phase is to create the necessary environment for seamless, secure and federated access to digital resources across all NFDI consortia.
